What a wonderful day! We had fun this morning with the babies playing on the deck while it was cool! I had so much help watering the plants. Annabelle loves to reach through the slats and swing my hanging begonia flower basket. I'm scared its going to just give up and fall before long! :)
James got tickled when I showed Annabelle an old baby picture of him (that his mom had given us from when he was 23mths old) and I asked her who it was! She had never seen it before and quickly replied, "Ah belle"! Even she realizes how much she looks like him! He couldn't help but grin after that! :) (she should've just asked him for all her prom dresses and a car right then) LOL!
Shane headed out this afternoon for ultimate Frisbee with our church! He got home tonight looking like he had played more of a rough football game rather than frisbee! He didn't understand that moms hate to see their children all scraped up and bruised...even if they're 6' 2" and 16yrs old! :( Silly boy! Glad he had a good time!
We heard Cade singing and playing during his afternoon nap time and figured it was going to make for an interesting evening! We were looking forward to Abigail's first playgroup at 5pm with little Down Syndrome friends quite a drive away in Norcross, GA! It was so much fun! So many precious Down little ones and great families! Abigail got to meet beautiful little Alyssa ( the baby girl who was due on the same day as she was..and whose mother is a high school friend of mine that I haven't seen in 20+ yrs!) It was just wonderful to see them next to eachother! Abigail rolls over from her tummy to her back and Alyssa rolls from her back to her tummy! Unfortunately, Abigail found Alyssa's pretty hair and latched on! I had to pry her little fingers open and explain that friends don't pull eachother's hair! : ) LOL! So fun! Cade was pretty much in rare form during all of it....he just kept moving so that he wouldn't fall asleep! Stumbling here and there (looking as if we had slipped something funny in his sippy cup) jk! He found an interesting wheel..that was attached to a vehicle and bent over to check it out. He bent too far over and fell, hitting his head! Now there is a nice big mark on his forehead! It was a bit challenging keeping up with them all! Daddy is amazing and can be in two places at once, I swear! Cade did hold still long enough for a sweet little girl named Emlyn (6yrs old) to give him a big Downs hug goodbye! He smiled and waved to her! Sweet moments! Annabelle visited with some of the children too! She was a bit bashful for some reason! After lots of smiles and pizza we finally decided they were exhausted! Annabelle had decided to walk over to where they were having an outdoor concert ( with me on her heels). I bet she would've walked up to the stage and started singing if we had let her! :) Daddy came and swooped her up! We got them loaded in the van and said our goodbyes! They were both crying on the way home until we heard this little "snort" come form the back seat! Then it happened again! I turned around to see a huge grin on Cade's face as if to say, "did you hear that? I'm so proud that I've learned to snort"...boys!!! He was quite tickled with himself! Annabelle wasn't exactly impressed! She would give us a little cry every few miles just to make sure we knew she wasn't happy! I think they closed their eyes the minute we put them in their cribs! Poor little tired twins! Abigail, however, is having a party here with me! This child does not need sleep until 10:30pm and then doesn't nap much during the day! Thank goodness she sleeps at night! Whew..I'm just so thankful for that first cup of coffee in the morning! How she does it without caffeine is beyond me!
Speaking of which, I need to get ready for some rest myself! Night night!
